Becoming Certified As A Targeted Small Business
Financial and technical assistance programs are available for businesses achieving qualification as Targeted Small Businesses. To qualify, your business must be certified by the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals (DIA). In order to qualify as a Targeted Small Business, businesses must:
- Be located in the state of Iowa
- Operate for a profit
- Have annual gross sales of less than $3 million
- Be at least 51% owned, operated and managed by women, minorities or persons with a disability
