Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development (2010-2014)
The Iowa Department of Economic Development announces the availability of a Draft
of a 5-year Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development (2010 – 2014).
The Plan provides information on the housing and community development needs in
the state, and the state’s plans for using funding provided by the U.S. Department
of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the following programs: Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG) Nonentitlement Program; HOME Investment Partnership
Program; the Emergency Shelter Grants (ESG) Program, and the Housing Opportunities
for Persons with AIDs (HOPWA) Program.
The public is encouraged to comment on the draft Plan through 4:30 p.m. on November
13, 2009. Comments may be provided using the form below or to
mike.miller@iowa.gov A public hearing to solicit comment will
also be held in Des Moines on October 26 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the IDED Offices,
Main Conference Room, 200 East Grand, Des Moines, Iowa.
