PROGRAMMATIC AGREEMENT — DISASTER FUNDS

The State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) and the Iowa Department of Economic Development (IDED) will be conducting an ICN training on February 26 starting at 8:30 a.m. ending around 12:30 p.m., for the Programmatic Agreement (PA).  This PA will cover the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Supplemental Appropriations Act (Public Law 110-252) which if for the purpose of disaster relief and any supplemental appropriations intended for the 2008 disaster recovery.  The PA will have to be followed for all federal undertaking through IDED and SHPO pertaining to the disaster funds and the 106 process.  We encourage that all staff that work with the environmental process attend this training, which will cover the processes that need to be followed to get projects eligible for federal funding.

Tentative sites for the ICN training is as follows:

Marshalltown, Community College; Mason City, Community College; Des Moines, IDED; Ottumwa, AEA; Council Bluffs, Community College; Dubuque, AEA; Sheldon, Community College; Davenport, Community College; West Burlington, Community College; Creston, High School; Westside, High School; Waterloo, Community College; Decorah, Middle School-Elem; Cedar Rapids, Washington High School; Pocahontas, AEA and Anita, High School.
 
Please note, not all sites are confirmed.  Please double check on the status of the sites prior to the training.  The slides and agenda will be available on the IDED’s web about a week before the training.
